This huge project concerns the construction of the fifth coal-fired unit at the Ptolemaida power station renewing the installed plants. The new lignite plant of Greek Public Power Corporation (PPC) will produce 660 megawatts with much lower environmental footprint. The total budget for the construction of the plant is €1,32 billion.
